History

I would like to say that Joomlawebwise was the proud and farsighted vision of us  - but our beginnings in Joomla web design were a lot more humble. We began, as many of our clients projects, with our vision, an innovative idea in an under developed market, suitable for an online business. We  duly did our research, our business plan, secured our finances and found a (Mambo/Joomla) web designer. This was just as Joomla was launched, and our web designer was as enthusiastic as we were in the developing functionality from the new Joomla extensions.  Our project, as so many do, grew and changed, from our simple project plan to a complex and unstable entity of of its own. Deadlines passed, investment grew, as did the frustration of both us, as clients, and our web designer as the project failed to complete. Eventually our disillusioned web designer gave up on us, handing us back the database and site files of an incomplete, hopelessly unstable and undocumented Joomla 1.0 website. With so much time and money invested in this we did the only thing possible, we took it upon ourselves to learn Joomla CMS and PHP. The time it took to work on our project meant that we then no longer had an new idea for business - we lost out, we would have been too late in launching our product, but we gained valued experience through hands-on learning and so we were there at the very beginnings of Joomla CMS.

We have not  forgotten the frustrations we felt as clients. Now as established Joomla web designers, web developers, hosts and trainers, we run into the same enthusiastic clients as we once had been. Clients, who once they see the exciting and powerful possibilities that Joomla extensions are capable of,  want to further their project horizons. We love that enthusiasm, drive and ambition and will do everything to encourage it, by giving our clients clear instructions, realistic and honest advice based on our experience, and our ideas for future, if not immediate, enhancements.

The communication between us and our clients is the basis for our mutual success.  We listen and liaise in-depth with our clients produce a project plan that is achievable, and is able to meet both financial limits and launch date deadlines. This project plan is clearly structured so that both parties know exactly what the end result should be, and how - by means of functionality, design and software it will be achieved. It also includes a payment schedule - most important for the cash flow of any business. The project plan helps focus the project targets, assists in keeping the development on track, and setting out both parties responsibilities to avoid confusion or misunderstanding, and it is essential to having a successful project.
